MAOHN Nurse of the Year

Purpose and History
MAOHN sponsors this award to one of its members as recognition for an occupational health nurse that has provided outstanding services to the profession. This award and its criteria are determined by MAOHN.

The award is intended to inspire other occupational health professionals to enrich their professional career as well as create a public awareness of the importance of the occupational health nurse.

The Award
The award winner is presented with a plaque that is purchased by MAOHN during a MAOHN member meeting.

Award Criteria
1. Applicant must be:

  1. a registered nurse employed in occupational health a minimum of 2 years
  2. a current active member of MAOHN
  3. employed in occupational health nursing a minimum of 20 hours per week
2. Demonstrate characteristics and accomplishments that enhance the field of Occupational Health Nursing.
