Summer, 2007 Member of the Quarter: Cathy Cato
Q: What company do you work for?
A: Behavioral Medical Interventions (BMI). BMI provides an array of disability prevention and management services, with an emphasis on
mental health and comorbid conditions. We have over 100 contract and employed clinicians and nurses who provide services to businesses,
TPAs and insurance companies.
Q: Where do you live?
A: Linden Hills, Southwest Minneapolis

Q: What is your educational background?
A: Diploma RN, BSN and MPH/Occupational Health Focus
Q: What is your current position and what are your job responsibilities?
A: Vice President, Operations and Medical Clinicians. I oversee the physicians and nurses. I also have some product development and sales
responsibilities and am responsible for making sure our services and products meet our customer needs.
Q: What are your outside interests?
A: First of all, my family keeps my interest every day! I have a son, Erik (20), and my husband, Dominic, has two children,
Hannah (19) and Nick (13). I'm from Duluth, and love the North Shore and being in the woods. I enjoy traveling and would like
to do more; so far my overseas travel has been to Italy and Russia. Also, I'm passionate about poetry and take classes and belong
to a few poetry groups to keep me writing.
Q: What is your position and responsibilities on the board this year?
A: I'm a Board Member and will oversee the Governmental Affairs committee.
